MHS volleyball is now up to 6-4 on the season after a 3-0 win against Grand Junction Central on Thursday.

The win comes as a nice rebound after two consecutive 3-2 losses against league rivals Delta and Durango.

“They played well, we got off to a good start and just kept the momentum going. We’ll need a win like this to boost morale leading into Saturday when we play Fruita,” head coach Shane Forrest said.

The team heads into a third consecutive rivalry match this Saturday against Fruita Monument, who is currently 7-2 on the season.

“They’re a solid team, but we’ll be ready,” Forrest said.
