The Montrose High School boys golf team is having a good season and that has continued for them as the team scored +10 on Tuesday September 1st at the Tira Rado tournament in Grand Junction. Jordan Jennings won the tournament individually hitting a +1, marking his second tournament win this year. The team has won seven tournaments with no losses.

“The season has been going really well for me this year, I’m hoping to make it to state and win at state this year,” Senior Jordan Jennings said.

Jennings has committed to Colorado State University to continue his golf career and is hoping his senior year helps prove that his commitment to golf is legitimate.

“My season hasn’t gone as well as I would like but I think I’ve been improving and have had a couple of good tournaments” Senior Quinn Hughes said.

Hughes hasn’t won any tournaments this year but has been steadily improving his game.

“My swing has definitely improved and that’s something I have been really focusing on improving, I’m hoping that in the last couple of tournaments we have that I can end on a good note,” Hughes said.
