Netflix Top 10 Movies

“Due Date” starring Robert Downey Jr. is a comedy about an hour and thirty five minutes produced by Legendary Entertainment and directed by Todd Phillips. It was in Netflix’s Top 10 movies this week. This movie goes on a wild trip across the country as the main character, Peter Highman, finds himself on a no-fly list days before his wife’s due date. He ends up having to drive all the way from Atlanta to Los Angeles with someone he just met.

Netflix has a Top 10 movies in the U.S. today, Top 10 shows and movies. They determine the top 10 by ‘views’. A view is counted for every two minutes of screen time watched so that means even if you’re on the page and it starts to autoplay a movie Netflix will count that for a full view. The movie doesn’t even have to be new or even just added to Netflix to be Top 10, that’s usually for the Trending Now tab.

Overall I had a great time watching this movie. I thought the humor was funny and the story line did a great job of keeping me interested the whole time. They also did a great job producing the movie, the quality was good and it didn’t look like they just throw it together to make a quick buck. One of my favorite parts would have to be towards the end when character Ethan Chase makes it to the Grand Canyon to throw the ashes of his dad. It was a very sweet and sentimental moment in this movie of never ending adventure and chaos.

Despite some language, drug use, and sexual content I’d recommend this rated R movie.

One question may occur when watching this movie and it’s ‘will Peter Highmen make it in time to the birth of his first child?’ And all I can say is watch and see to find out.
