Indians Football Prep for First Game

MHS Football has been practicing hard these last few weeks in preparation for their season opener against the Chatfield Chargers. The game is scheduled for Friday, October 9 in Montrose.
“Chatfield is the real deal. If we don’t come out strong, we’ll run into big problems,” senior Eli Evans said.
“I’m excited to get back out there. Our season was supposed to be canceled, but CHSAA changed their minds so we’ve gotta make the best of what we’ve been given,” senior Colten Brueggeman said.
The Indians have been ranked No. 5 from a total of 12 teams participating in the fall season. The Indians will only play six games, with more if they make the playoffs.“I’m a little disappointed that our season is being cut short, but I’m happy that we at least get to have a season,” senior Trent Blundell said.
